There are three keyword principals that websites must follow in order to achieve success among the major search engines.Posted by Administrator
Understanding the art of SEO can be daunting, which is why so many business owners hire firms like dzine it to optimize their websites for better search engine placement. However, even if you are using an Internet marketing firm to optimize your website, it is good to know just what it takes to ensure that your ecommerce site has been set up for maximum performance.
The first rule of thumb is to know where to place important keywords. According to research done by major search engines like Google, website visitors tend to look at three sections of a web page the most; the top, the bottom, and the middle. These are the areas where your strongest content and most of your keywords and phrases should be placed.
The second principal is to pay close attention to the proximity and placement of your key words and terms. If we are talking about a website for a personal injury law firm in New York, the key phrases should be congruent.
“New York personal injury law firm” is a good example.
Those words should be strung together, not placed haphazardly around the page or the search engines will not pick up on the theme of the website.
Finally, keyword density plays an important role in optimizing a webpage. Ideally, a page should feature a density of four percent. In other words, there should be no more or no less than four percent of the content made up keywords and phrases.
With search engines it is all about balance. If a website does not have enough keywords, it may be overlooked, and if it has too many, it may be ignored.
